At IDE Corp, we believe that the most effective use of technology depends on the context of the district. No two districts are exactly alike! We begin the long-range planning process with a study of the district. Once we better understand the district, we present a series of recommendations. The final phase of plan development is reviewing these recommendations with the stakeholders from the educational community and developing an action plan. We also believe that technology should not be viewed as an end unto itself, but rather as a means to a much greater end ... the education of our children. Any Long-Range Technology Plan should focus on the use of technology to enhance the instructional setting.
