High Levels of Academic Achievement

Now, more than ever before in our history, students need a solid academic foundation from which to work. Although teachers are beginning to think differently about how to teach, we are not in any way suggesting that they should be teaching less. In fact, the challenge is to design a classroom that allows students to learn more. How can we maximize time in the classroom so that students spend more time actively learning? How can we research and discuss more advanced topics that we may not have been able to cover a decade ago? As teachers transform classrooms over time, students' standardized test scores will increase because they will be exposed to that much more information and they will not merely be listening to someone, but they will be actively working with and discussing the information.
