Lists its mission statement and is easy to navigate. Although there isn't a lot of statistical information here, there are links to get in touch with the organization. The opportunities for primary source information and resources seem to be particularly good with this organization.

Focuses its work on the plight of children around the world. The page indicates that much of its activity has been toned down to concentrate on children caught in the Israel/Palestine fighting of this year. There are also links to other areas of crisis, and a page that links to available jobs- a quick connection to help students see what career paths are available in this area of service.

Put together by LoveEarth, this hard-hitting site starts off with an article relating to hunger relief, and a map simulating the number of deaths around the world due to starvation. There are also tickers indicating the current world population and the number of deaths this year due to starvation.
